Set up a Blecon Hub
Step 1: Connect Power to the Blecon Hub
Powering over USB
The Blecon Hub has a Type-C connector to receive USB power. Connect a USB cable from the Blecon Hub to either a Type-C or Type-A USB socket.
Powering over PoE
Connect an Ethernet cable from either a PoE switch or a PoE Injector
PoE Switch: If using a PoE switch, simply plug the Ethernet cable into the PoE port on the switch and the other end into the Blecon Hub.
PoE Injector: For PoE injectors, connect the power supply to the injector and plug it into a wall outlet. One Ethernet port on the injector will be for the data input - connect this to your switch or router. The other Ethernet port is for the PoE output. Connect this port to the Blecon Hub.
The Blecon Hub will start operating once it is powered.
Step 2 (Optional): Connect Blecon Hub to Wired Ethernet
The Blecon Hub normally connects over the cellular (LTE) network. In locations where cellular signal is weak, the Blecon Hub may have difficulty establishing a connection to the cloud. In this situation, it is possible to connect the Blecon Hub to a wired Ethernet network.
The wired network needs to have connectivity to the Internet and must also be configured to automatically assign the Blecon Hub an IP address.
